Quarantine

This movie is better than the original (Rec). Most people who think the original is better are just jumping on the old cliched bandwagon mentality of "the original is better". That's what everyone always says, "the original is better". In my opinion it is not. This version had better acting, better production values and better scares. If you don't believe me then go ahead and spend your money to watch the inferior "original" Spanish version with terrible English voiceovers. Then watch this one.

Not bad for what it is-- a remake-- but do yourself a favor and see the original instead. Rec is a much better film, and the female lead is SO MUCH LESS ANNOYING. The final scene in Quarantine feels like it is hours long. The same scene in Rec is amazing and will take your breath away at the end. I also highly recommend the original because of its sequels. Quarantine made some fundamental changes to the base story that made it impossible for Rec's sequels to be remade in the Quarantine universe. You will not regret a minute of the original films. Forget Quarantine.

Most ridiculous movie. A mentally unstable cop, a news reporter who won't stop screaming and hyperventilating from her own shadow, common sense was completely thrown out the window in this. Instead of isolating the sick from the healthy, the "smart" cops puts everyone in the same room together. Instead of isolating the sick, or eliminating the turned humans with the fire fighters sledge hammer, or the cops gun, they just leave them all alive until sh!T just gets out of control and they get overrun. Piss poor movie
