About this movie

Barry Egan (Adam Sandler), the owner of a struggling vanity plungers company, falls in love with Lena Leonard (Emily Watson), a woman his sister is trying to set him up with. On the run from a gang of thugs, Barry travels to Hawaii, using the frequent flier mile coupons clipped from several cartons of pudding cups, to meet up with this girl of his dreams. © 2002 Revolution Studios Distribution Company, LLC. *NOT A COMEDY!* Don't know why this movie keeps being pegged as a "comedy," other than it stars Adam Sandler. I imagine it is related to the same reason Bill Murray's version of _The Razor's Edge_ was flogged by the studios as a comedy back in the day: they just can't wrap their puny brains around the ability comedians possess to nail dramatic roles. Like the man said, "Dying is easy; comedy is hard!" Anyway, there are a few laughs in this, so I guess it counts as a mellow drama? But it's a comedy only in the same sense that _Falling Down_ is a comedy. Regardless, it's worth your time to see it. Just don't expect to spend any significant amount of your time laughing at it.

Adam Sandler is a really good actor but seems to be at his best when plays a socially awkward person. But his old stand he always seemed that way.

I am a 52 year old female, totally head over heels, crazy about Adam Sandler, I'm old school so there is not one movie I can recall not liking. His devotion to his friends, is spectacular, as you know he always picks the same people to be in his films, he has to be pretty cool for them to do even cameos . People say he is a man child, I appreciate his sense of humor, the way he has my entire family rolling around laughing sometimes crying, Thank you Mr. Sandler for being such a stand up guy.
