Pumping Iron

Sports film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, directed by George Butler and Robert Fiore. Scripted documentary following the hopefuls for the coveted Mr. Olympia bodybuilding title in 1975. The action begins at Gold's Gym, California and Schwarzenegger is seeking to keep his title as long-reigning champion after five consecutive wins, whilst trying to psych out the younger competitors. His main competition comes from Serge Nubret and Lou Ferrigno; a young deaf guy who lacks confidence in his abilities. All of the entrants make the journey to Pretoria, South Africa in nervous anticipation. Can Schwarzenegger hold onto his title, or will one of his younger opponents finally steal it from him?
