About this movie

While walking home Esther Woodhouse is brutally attacked and disfigured by a hooded assailant. This horrible event seems to be a blessing in disguise when Esther finds consolation in a support group. Her life of sadness and solitude is opened up to friendship, understanding, and even acceptance. However, friendship and understanding can be very dangerous things when accepted by the wrong people, as Esther soon embarks down a dark path of obsession.

This is a type of film that is difficult to recommend to anyone in particular. Controversial subject matter from open to close. However, I did find myself extremely interested in the story that was being told to me. I certainly did't see the plot twists coming. This is almost two movies in one. This may be difficult for some to watch, but i found it to be satisfactory with solid acting, writing, and production value.

I wouldn't call it a horror movie because it's a plausible reality and that's what scars me. It makes me think of people who live in this world but also live in there own reality. Delusional Disorder or Sociopath. I have never been able to look at passerbys on the street quit the same after seeing it. The crazy thing is you can't help but love Esther and want to help her.

Didn't quite get this one. Kind of slow, would not recommend it you are sleepy.
