About this movie

From producer Michael Bay (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Transformers) comes the action-packed thrill ride starring Jonny Weston (The Divergent Series: Insurgent). When a brilliant high school student and his friends discover blueprints for a machine that can send them back in time the possibilities seem endless. Yes, it revolves around a Sci-Fi concept (time travel) but it's basically a high energy, more party than science attention deficit adolescent romp. I recommend renting more than purchasing, since it's really not cerebral enough to warrant a second viewing.

It takes awhile to get going, then has the typical M-TV boring middle section of kids, sex, partying and rock and roll before it ends with a whimper. Wish I knew it was an M-TV film before renting. If your 11-14 you'll love this, otherwise skip.

The movie works despite a kind of choppy storyline. It feels like the writers just couldn't bring all their ideas into an integrated whole. Ultimately, it's enjoyable, but it's too bad these terrific young actors didn't get a better script.
