***Warning*** Fairly graphic bloody violence such as arms/heads being removed and tons of killing in this film. Basically this film is a metaphor for the battle between nature/old ways and industry/new ways. Each side has their own pros & cons and some can't look past the negatives of the other side which leads to unbridled hatred/destruction. There's more than that going on here, but that's generally the idea here. Decent starter Studio Ghibli film for action film fans.

This is such a great movie, definitely one of my favorites, but I really hope they will redo the dub at some point. The voices are the only thing that throws me off on this movie, otherwise it's fantastic.

The movie is fantastically well made. I cannot recommend it enough. The story, the characters, the soundtrack, the plot's progress-- Princess Mononoke is an emotional experience that will stay in your heart for ages. I must also insist you watch the film in its original Japanese language. The English dub, while it is memorable, the heart of the film lies with it's original voice cast which simply breathes life onto the characters.
