Pride & Prejudice

If you watch this as somewhat separate to Austen's P&P it's quite a good film. As an adaptation of the novel it is very poor. The portrayal of both Darcy and Elizabeth leaves a lot to be desired. Clearly the challenge of fitting the novel into a standard length film is too much.

It's not the best version of the book. Cast is good, which makes up for the crimes against Austen.

If I haven't got time to watch the BBC series, this is the next best thing. Love it
