Set in 79 A.D., POMPEII tells the epic story of Milo, a slave turned invincible gladiator who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love Cassia, the beautiful daughter of a wealthy merchant who has been unwillingly betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator. As Mount Vesuvius erupts in a torrent of blazing lava, Milo must fight his way out of the arena in order to save his beloved as the once magnificent Pompeii crumbles around him.

Just Visiting

This is a miss. Your life won't be missing a thing if you don't watch this insincere acting and those half-baked effects. Some "reviewers" here are saying: "Best movie ever". Maybe they just fled an isolated island and saw a movie theatre for the first time in years and got all excited about it, I don't know. One thing's sure: this film is not even relatively good. It's just bad.

The shoddily done combat scenes and special effects therein ruin led this film, and that's overlooking all the historical inaccuracies. The ash and volcanic effects were very well done. Next time evenly distribute the effects.

I liked the acting and story line....They could have should a bit more of the end result of the eruption and when they found the city 2000 years later.
