This might just be a perfect movie. The writing is great, its serious at most times but it still adds on jokes here and there that land almost every single time. This movie is also filled at the end with many clever parallels that mirror the beginning its really clever. All the acting is also great, especially Johnny depp who steals the show. In fact there is a 50 minute video on Youtube that analyzed the entire movie, mentioning everything that makes this movie perfect. I couldn't recommend this movie more!!!!

This is easily the best movie of all time. I was reluctant at first to watch it, thinking that the movie, Edward Scissorhands, was the best Johnny Depp had to offer. I was completely wrong. (That is still an amazing movie though, PLEASE go watch it). The movie features a wide and interesting cast of characters. The pacing of the movie is great. The movie always makes sure to have a good balance of humor, action, character development, and character development through humor and action. Many twists and turns are to be had, making fun and clever scenarios that Jack Sparrow finds himself in. My only complaint? I had to pause once or twice to understand what was going on, but, this happens often to me so I don't think that many others will have a problem with it considering that the plot itself is great.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I remember when it came out, I had that feeling of, "Now THIS is the pirate movie that always needed to exist." They did the genre more than justice, they evolved it, especially Johnny Depp with Captain Jack Sparrow. The universal, timeless theme this movie explores of the grey shades and volatility of morality push it beyond on a blockbuster and into a classic. It breaks my heart to hear what Amber Heard did to Depp in the press. One of the best lines in this movie happens when Norrington says, "One good deed is not enough to redeem a man of a lifetime of wickedness." And Captain Jack replies, "Though it seems enough to condemn him." I hope Disney reconsiders removing Depp from the franchise. Our world has never needed to see examples of forgiveness more.
