While not the best of the Pirates trilogy, this one does all the same right things that the previous entries did. It's funny, swash-buckling, pirate-y goodness through and through. The theme of this film even enters some darker territory for the series (especially in the beginning) and tends to go all out with the weirdness wherever possible. This gives it an almost Terry Guilliam sensibility at times, which whilst off-putting to some I find rather entertaining. The scale and effects go off the deep end (as they should in a trilogy's finale) and it ends with some interesting twists.

Although it's not as good as the first two films. Still an entertaining film with amazing action and hilarious humor throughout, and a very good ending to an amazing trilogy!
