One of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. Heartwarming, tragic, and dramatic. Yuki Kudo, and Tamlyn Tomita turn in award winning performances. Filmed on a shoestring budget, but better than most big budget films. This movie is still often shown in Hawaiian schools as a film depicting the states rich immigrant history.
