Peppermint is an action thriller which tells the story of young mother Riley North (Garner) who awakens from a coma after her husband and daughter are killed in a brutal attack on the family. When the system frustratingly shields the murderers from justice, Riley sets out to transform herself from citizen to urban guerilla. Channeling her frustration into personal motivation, she spends years in hiding honing her mind, body and spirit to become an unstoppable force – eluding the underworld, the LAPD and the FBI- as she methodically delivers her personal brand of justice.

Was pretty disappointed with this movie. Very basic premise and lousy story. Action scenes were okay, but seems the writers didn't even try and set up the story behind the protagonists sudden elevation from soccer mum to special forces ninja assassin in a ridiculously short space of time. If your happy with short on solid story, have fun, otherwise rent first.

Well....... there is always room for another vengeance or vendetta movie in my books, and there is plenty of room for a grieving mother and wife vengeance story. This is or course like the female version of the Punisher, without the skull T shirt. It would have been good to see more of the events surrounding the transformation of her character from Bank clerk to cold blooded killer angry mom, and perhaps more of the build up to why she was idolized by the down and outs crew living tough on the streets. But all in all I liked it.

Brilliant!!!!! Loved the action and the story line and yes this was in some ways the female version of The Punisher.I have to also add that for me personally this was the best acting I have seen from actress Jennifer Garner.The whole movie felt natural and realistic and totally relate-able.With enough twists to keep you guessing just long enough. loved this movie.
