Peppermint is an action thriller which tells the story of young mother Riley North (Garner) who awakens from a coma after her husband and daughter are killed in a brutal attack on the family. When the system frustratingly shields the murderers from justice, Riley sets out to transform herself from citizen to urban guerilla. Channeling her frustration into personal motivation, she spends years in hiding honing her mind, body and spirit to become an unstoppable force – eluding the underworld, the LAPD and the FBI- as she methodically delivers her personal brand of justice.

Was pretty disappointed with this movie. Very basic premise and lousy story. Action scenes were okay, but seems the writers didn't even try and set up the story behind the protagonists sudden elevation from soccer mum to special forces ninja assassin in a ridiculously short space of time. If your happy with short on solid story, have fun, otherwise rent first.

Superficial vengeance/vigilante movie with female lead. Very poorly developed story line and superficial stereotypical characters. Cinematography OK but fight scenes highly implausible. The scriptwriting and editing are just plain lazy

A pleasant surprise. Violent? Yes, but what revenge story isn't. Jennifer Garner did a great job evoking an emotional response that had me justifying her actions; especially considering who she was up against.
