The movie is well acted, great sets and better CGI than needed. It's a good movie where I have conflicting feelings about its length that negatively affects the score. Not enough happens during the movie to warrant the runtime but also seems to end abruptly. I would have liked to have seen more between the end of he main story thread and the end. The voice over is just not enough.
Just Visiting
Passengers could have been a great meal if they had thought about bringing wine and dessert. The cinematography and special effects can be delightful, Chris Pratt's solo performance is entertaining, and Jennifer Lawrence is both inviting and solid in many scenes. Unfortunately, what appeared at first to be a promising element of some suspense with philosophical dimensions ends up being nothing more than a small disturbance in a space-age romantic getaway for two. Surprisingly, I enjoyed almost every minute of it.

The trailer was better then the movie only because the trailer left me wanting more but halfway through the film I was like no this can't be it.....but it was and the thrill seeking ride I was hoping to be in for was just not gonna happen. Now I'm not saying its a bad movie but for a science fiction junkie like myself who is into Star Wars, Star Trek, Alien, Guardians of The Galaxy and Predator this didn't fit the bill...but if your itching for a science fiction flick this will give you your fix. :)
