It's not disappointing but maybe not something a good portion of watchers would go nuts over. I enjoyed the way it's shot, different with a cool twist in the end. Good acting. A few holes in the story but I found worth watching, especially being a dvd copy for 2$ used! Didn't expect brilliance albeit a fun movie with plenty of cool scenes.

Elijah Wood and Sasha Grey give solid performances in a thinly written story about the dangers of voyeurism and cyber-stalking. Most of the film is depicted from a laptop camera and various security camera feeds and while the format is a unique experiment, like a matryoshka doll, the film has diminishing returns with each newly revealed layer. Wood has little to do beyond panic and be puppeteered for much of the movie as a hapless doop at the whim of a dangerous hacker. The two men are mutually obsessed with Sasha Grey's character, an actress whose impending film success is at odds with her imploding social life. The windows-within-windows effects are pretty but the film's credibility and humor quickly dry up. Long car chase scenes do little to liven up the film and there's no real personal connection between either lead character. Also several secondary characters have had their voices dubbed over poorly.
