In Disney and Pixar's ONWARD, two teenage elf brothers Ian and Barley Lightfoot (voices of Tom Holland and Chris Pratt) get an unexpected opportunity to spend one more day with their late dad and embark on an extraordinary quest aboard Barley's epic van Guinevere. Like any good quest, their journey is filled with magic spells, cryptic maps, impossible obstacles, and unimaginable discoveries. But when the boys' fearless mom Laurel (voice of Julia Louis-Dreyfus) realizes that her sons are missing, she teams up with a part-lion, part-bat, part-scorpion, former warrior – aka The Manticore (voice of Octavia Spencer) – and heads off to find them. Perilous curses aside, this one magical day could mean more than any of them ever dreamed.

I watched this in the cinema and I found it absolutely awesome. It was really funny, great music and a tear jerker, just as Disney should be. I don't usually write reviews, but i felt i have to because the other reviews aren't very good above here. There is only one issue with this film which i can see, that is no issue at all for me personally. It is mystical, macigal and witchy. magic the gathering springs to mind, which for a geek like me is just perfect.

Not a perfect Disney Movie but non of them are, some of the jokes don't hit sadly but they definitely get the father figure story right. It's very well animated, the characters have a good chemistry with each other and it was a really fulfilling movie. Disney are great at telling stories, so I get a bit sad that the jokes go over me, but it's not me that they are purposely targeting now, it's the current child generation and that's gonna keep them relevant for years to come.

Wonderful movie and casting! The reason why I liked this and also saw it the first day it came out is because of the emotional vibe to it which I can relate to about the dead father and thought that it wasn't perfect but was still a lovely movie. It made me realize some feelings to but I'm not going to get into that. The story line is great. The relationship between the brothers, the family and the adventures they go on is great! Some people may not like it but it's worth giving a try anyway.
