Easily the best movie I have ever seen and has since inspired and motivated me to actually want to go out and fight these fires and be a part of something so much bigger than myself. For anyone saying the movie is boring, or the acting is bad, go watch SpongeBob. This is some of the best acting I've seen in my 23 years of life, especially by Miles. Simply astounding movie and incredible story that deserves to be shared by such a brilliant, heartfelt film.

This movie was one of the best I have seen in awhile.! The relationship between Josh Brolin's character and mentor played by Jeff Bridges grabs you by the heart, The real honesty played by Jennifer Connelly as the wife of Brolin kept me hanging all the way through as the story of their marriage unfolds. You forget they are actors , not real firefighters ~ just amazing cinematography of the fires and the juxtaposing beauty of the California hills. And let's not forget the incredible acting of Miles Teller as Brandon...the way he pulls us into his life...and we live it and feel it at the same time. Well done! This movie is a MUST SEE!!!

After watching the preview, I knew I had to see it. I just saw it, now I need to own it. A nail biting (both hands), sad and beautiful picture. The ending qoute struck home. Recently, a fire burning northern California claimed the life of firefighter stationed in Missouri, and as the quote states, it is also a heartbreaking "honor" to have grown up going to school and even trade a punch with. My tribute to this great man is to share the most remanisent memories are from 1997, he was President for the Future Farmer's of America Chapter at Coachella Valley High School and a privilege having served as Vice President. Thank God for the privilege and honor to know the only cowboy, in the world, who didn't dance. "Real cowboy's don't dance!!!" Garrett A. Paid
