About this movie

After one day together -- July 15th, 1988, their college graduation -- Emma Morley (Anne Hathaway) and Dexter Mayhew (Jim Sturgess) begin a friendship that lasts a lifetime. She's a working-class girl who dreams of making the world a better place. He's a wealthy charmer who thinks the world is his playground. Somewhere over the next two decades, these two very different people realize that the love they've been hoping for has been there for them all along. Directed by Lone Scherfig (An Education) and based on the bestselling novel by David Nicholls, it's a touching story critics call "a smart and endearing romantic comedy." I have to agree with others comments. Very predictable, and I had to force myself to finish watching it since I spent the money. Just a below average, nothing special kind of movie

This is a nice romance. I felt it kind of dragged on for a bit in the middle, and I did find myself walking away from it a few times. So, nice but not great. Having never read the book this movie did turn out exactly as I thought it would. My point. Drawn out story, very predictable, ok acting, cute romance, no real substance.

I really liked it. It's a good romance movie that it's realistic. Although I didn't like thr ending of her dying after everything they went through. - Lorena
