After watching Frozen with our 1 year old too many times to count, Olaf's Frozen Adventure is a welcomed addition to our movie rotation and more memorable than Frozen Fever is. Though the price is a bit steep, our family has watched this dozens of times around the holidays, making it well-worth the price. The songs are fun and catchy (albeit cheesy) and the message is a classic one for the holidays. As with Frozen, the subtler jokes resonate most with my wife and I (e.g., Olaf yelling, "Tempo!" when singing with Kristoff or his quip to a Elsa when Kristoff wants her to participate in a tradition, "You're a princess, you don't have to settle."). I don't care much for the additional Disney shorts that are tagged onto the end of the film, as they show their age with their tone. For example, Donald attempts to kill a penguin for food but misses her neck with his ax and Mickey strangles Pluto by the neck for getting into the Christmas tree. Though I grew up on aggressive cartoon characters, that kind of tone seems antiquated nowadays.

Yes, the Frozen segment is mediocre at best and comprises only 21 minutes of the total runtime, but the real highlights here are the classic DIsney shorts. Pluto's Christmas Tree, The Hockey Champ, The Art of Skiing, Polar Trappers, Winter, and Once Upon A Wintertime (the latter three being released in HD for the first time ever) are all excellent and well worth the purchase price on their own. They are beautifully restored, retain their original aspect ratio, and are still thoroughly entertaining. Though Olaf gets top billing, the real reason to buy this package is for these fantastic pieces of film history.

Beware the "68 minute" runtime. The actual "Olaf's Frozen Adventure" content is more like 10-15 minutes (and you get all the good parts in the trailer). The rest of this is just old loony tunes re-runs as far as I can tell. Huge rip-off for $10.
