It was indeed a very good movie, I love the book. Unfortunately Koontz has got a bit obsessed with the Character Odd Thomas and on the what? 5th book? it's getting a bit old and it's running out of ideas. But the first was a great read and I like what they did with the movie. I like the way the didn't follow the whole Elvis thing. In the book Elvis is following him around but i think in a movie it would have been lame having a look-a-like play the role. I like they put a cardboard life-size version in his room that he just said hi too as a montage to it. If you liked the book you wont be disappointed.

As a fan of the book, I refrained from watching this for a long time as I figured it wouldn't do the book justice and the trailer seemed to support that, but curiosity got the better of me! It was ok in places, but overall my expectations were met.

All film producers and directors should read this book, watch this movie and see how it's done. I think that is THE first time I have not been disappointed by the transfer of the book to the big screen. Anything less than four stars is a crime of those who didn't read the book :)
