About this movie

The Four Horsemen [Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Lizzy Caplan] return for a second mind-bending adventure, elevating the limits of stage illusion to new heights and taking them around the globe. One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public's adulation with their Robin Hood-style magic spectacles, the illusionists resurface for a comeback performance in hopes of exposing the unethical practices of a tech magnate. The man behind their vanishing act is none other than Walter Mabry [Daniel Radcliffe], a tech prodigy who threatens the Horsemen into pulling off their most impossible heist yet. Their only hope is to perform one last unprecedented stunt to clear their names and reveal the mastermind behind it all.

The movie is one bad magic trick. Your eyes tell you that the cast cannot make a bad movie, but they do. Pretty much two hours of them throwing a card back and forth to each other, and then a twist that you see coming, and by the time it happens, you don't really care. You're just waiting for it to be over, and then "poof" your money is gone.

The only magic trick on the entire movie was getting the title the stock to this dung heap. They changed just about every part of the back story from the original, took out the element of surprise and added superfluous siblings. Even the heart-warming conclusion will just leave you sure that the surprise mentor is the world's largest douchebag. Complete waste of time and money.

Really disappointed in this sequel. Re-watch Now You See Me and skip this one right away. I bought both movies together as a bundle and am thankful I chose doing so, at least the first is worth the full purchase price. This one isn't worth the extra $2 I spent for the bundle though. Stinks, because I had high hopes for this one since the first was so great! ☹️
