Watching Paul Newman in this is just a pleasure. What a pro. He puts on a clinic of what it means to carry a movie. This film is listed as a drama but has a terrifically witty script with plenty of comedy. Tandy and Willis are good too. That being said, some of the side players in this are stock Hollywood generic and somewhat cringeworthy; particularly the milkqtoast estranged son of Newman's character. Not to worry. Paul Newman elevates this into a minor classic.

This movie was filmed around where I live!! What's even more interesting is that it is partly filmed in Fishkill, New York, and it's filmed right next to the Fishkill Library which is shown in the movie. The even more interesting part I'm trying to say is that I rented Nobody's Fool from that library!!!!!! The movie itself is quite good, but is kind of boring to me, but it really ain't that bad. 4 stars.

The film captures the small town living in upstate New York, It is as if your living amongst the story line..Newman of coarse Kills it. Look for Phil Seymour Hoffman's early work. 4 Pop corn
