Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. However; his peace is short-lived when his old friend; Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) from the CIA turns up asking for his help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected; leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with a dangerous new technology.

James finally finds a girl old enough to be his granddaughter and promptly knocks her up, develops a trust issue, and sticks her on a train home. Years pass, and James goes into retirement catching trophy-worthy red snapper from his international class sailboat in the Caribbean. Meantime a government super-weapon ends up in the hands of an old terrorist nemesis and James is eventually approached by the CIA to get things cleaned up—something he agrees to only after discovering that, back at the bureau, his 007 jersey has been reassigned to a young black woman. James soon learns of his daughter’s existence and the nature of the anti-vaxxer super-weapon—a nanobot serum that, informed by illicit government DNA databases, can be programmed to pick and choose which of us lives and dies. On the plus side, the tense action scenes are nicely spread out across the three-hour film so you can recharge between with good twenty-minute naps.

I love the James Bond movies, but not this one. The plot was so complicated that I had to pull out my phone and use wikipedia during the movie to keep up. The movie was too long, and I had to force myself to stay till the end. Usually Bond spends more time in huge centuries old magnificent historic homes and estates, but not in this one. This is an old boy macho British culture guy movie - replacing Bond with a black female is like replacing Shaft in the Shaft movie with a white woman, it ruins the movie. Finally, I couldn't forget while watching it that Mr. Craig said publicly that he didn't want to do another James Bond film, prior to going ahead and doing this one. I wish I had gone to see the new Spiderman movie instead.

Don't watch this movie, spare your time and money. I told all of my family and friends, pls don't. There are several reasons not to: a/it is a grim drama without any scenario (10 grader could write it better) directed by definite James Bond hater; b/it is all about Bond's misery and lack of future; c/action is dull, no new tricks; d/ and most important: at the end they literally killed Bond, first time ever Bond didn't even tried to escape. Overall, they killed franchise: sad, grim, miserable, dull, politically correct performance with no sign of joyful romancing, humor and lightness of life of genuine James Bond. I feel bad for excellent actors who had to chew this gum.
