No Highway In The Sky

Hidden gem of a movie with sweet portrayal by Jimmy Stewart. The hero of the story is a logical, socially awkward engineer. It's a bit of a character study and I think it compares favorably to the much more famous "Harvey."

The flaw is portrayal of engineers having eccentric personalities maladapted to social interaction. Otherwise a wonderful tour de force of the power of man's mind to use logic to understand his reality.

Excellent prophetic story about aircraft metal fatigue later (1952)happened to the de Haviland comet the first jet airliner -this fictitious prophecy told by Neville Shute the "aeronautical engineer who found he could write books"
