This musical was fantastically done!! Disney has "re-imagined" a cult classic. The singing is off the charts, the dancing is phenomenal and the characters are loveable. I would suggest this as a staple in any family's collection! I am also excited that the popularity has exploded into local community theatre venues. The arts is widely overlooked, as a creative outlook that helps to reneergize and question people's ideology about the way they look at life. The industrial revolution and the move towards American Capitalism is quite the "boring" topic; but this is a great tool for education and being involved in American History, Geography and other related topics.

Most amazing show ever. I didn't ever to see it on Broadway so when I saw they filmed it, I was ecstatic. They did a great job on it and I was glad they used some of the original actors. Andrew Keenan-Bolger males a great Crutchie. The only thing that would make it better would be if the could use Robin Williams as Governor Roosevelt. The music will leave you singing for weeks. Definitely being added to my favorites list.

Although not all of us are muscial people, everyone in the family loved Newsies: The Broadway Musical. It's funny, fast-paced, and studded with upbeat, catchy music genius from Alan Menken and Jack Feldman. The dance numbers (basically the whole show) are spectacular and the acting/singing talent is phenomenal. The way this production was staged and filmed was perfect and easy to follow as a standard film. What's more is that the plot and message of the show is emotional and strong: take a stand, fight for your rights and do what's right. Very enjoyable for the whole family.
