Not your typical corny, excessively dramatic, very predictable, and unrealistic Filipino romance film. I loved how the silent moments in the film got the most reactions from me. I ached for these dialog-less scenes that showed how a mix of pained facial expressions and silent gazes can move you more than a hysterical character lashing out at everybody during an overly dramatic scene. Many thumbs up! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Superb acting by James and Nadine; their effective delivery of lines, James’ subtle facial expression, and Nadine’s eyes, yes those eyes, get the audience engaged into the story that is wanting to give away yet keeps you thinking until the end. Cinematography and music are remarkably on point. Acting chops from the supporting cast is also worth mentioning, lending cohesiveness to the whole plot. The story is quite simple and is told the way it should be - simple and real and raw and honest and now. You come out of the cinema wanting to watch it again and again and again and again ... It’s great to have it available for home consumption now !

Never Not Love You is about Gio and Joanne who are starting their lives fulfilling their dreams and following their passions. They are at the crossroads in their relationship when they realize their dreams bring them to different places. This is a very real and raw movie of how a millennial couple deals with challenges in their relationships. The movie is very effective in portraying this because James Reid and Nadine Lustre both gave very powerful performances that are very relatable. Must see film!
