Garbage- just overhyped garbage. The dialogue is stilted and meandering. At points it seems like the characters are engaging in mundane conversations that are completely pointless. It’s like something you might overhear at the convenience store. The worst of it is they rely on lowbrow, juvenile antics to attempt to achieve comedy such as an uncle who stands around with bizarre, and apparently comical, expressions and a dog that has some condition that leaves his face covered in mucus. They attempt a bit of slapstick and fail miserably. Seriously pathetic. We laughed exactly zero times. Unless you’re trying to punish yourself, I’d skip this one. There are far better Christmas movies.

Absolutely one of my favorite Christmas movies; I started watching it on a yearly basis ever since I've seen it during a Christmas party in my first high school, and it's bene a must-watch since then. I laugh even when I know what scene is coming up. A classic.

While not a terrible movie this is one of the most overrated holiday classics out there. I never was into it as a kind. I don't like it as an adult. I don't get the appeal of this franchise as a whole, let alone this movie. If you enjoy this movie, that's great. You do you. If you're looking for a Christmas movie to put you in a holiday mood, I'd recommend the original Miracle on 34th Street instead.
