About this movie

In Now You See Me, four of the world's greatest illusionists orchestrate a series of spectacular heists against corrupt businesses during their performances, showering the stolen profits on their audience. In a game of cat and mouse and staying one step ahead of the FBI, could the illusionists have an insider working for them? Or could it really be magic? FBI Special Agent Dylan (Ruffalo) is determined to make the magicians pay for their crimes-and to stop them before they pull off what promises to be an even more audacious heist. But he's forced to partner with Alma (Laurent), an Interpol detective about whom he is instantly suspicious. Out of desperation he turns to Thaddeus (Freeman), a famed magic debunker, who claims the bank heist was accomplished using disguises and video trickery. One thing Dylan and Alma agree on is that the Horsemen must have an outside point person, and that finding him (or her) is key to ending the magicians' crime spree. Could it be Thaddeus? Or Alma? Or could it really be... magic?

The good: Engaging actors and good pacing. The bad: Cringe worthy CGI. The ugly: Plot had more holes than Swiss cheese. The fugly: The final plot twist seemed tacked on and makes a mockery of both the movie and its audience.

A very clever and cunning story with many twists and turns that keep you guessing 'til the very end. The fast pace, however, makes it hard, at times, to follow.

A nicely done movie with the twist at the end but not all of it is good or thought through so it does not reach my highest standards I give it a 4/5 4☆
