About this movie

My Tutor is a romantic comedy about Bobby Chrystal, a high school senior on the verge of graduation who flunks his French final, and Terry Green, an attractive and well talented French tutor that Bobby's parents will hire to help him pass the makeup exam. During their encounter it is clear that Bobby's got more on his mind than collegiate affairs

This is a classic 1980s summer movie. The cast is really great. The humor is a bit sophomoric, but it is honest and it is very, very funny. Basically, it is Matt Latanzi's only feature film where he plays the lead. Who cares what his acting skills are, his abilities make an honest display of a young guy in search of sexual experience. Humor with a small dose of sexism is very funny... go back 35 years and see what Los Angeles was like back then.
