About this movie

MY SPY follows JJ, a hardened CIA operative (Dave Bautista), who has been demoted and finds himself at the mercy of a precocious 9-year-old girl named Sophie (Chloe Coleman) after he is sent undercover to surveil her family. In exchange for not blowing JJ’s cover, Sophie convinces him to spend time with her and teach her to be a spy. Despite his reluctance, JJ finds he is no match for Sophie’s disarming charm and wit.

Truth be told this is a 3 1/2 but can't give half stars It's formulaic and pretty predictable and some of the directing seems amatuerish in places but despite all that it's a decent enough family comedy with a some good laughs

Man this one really surprised my girl and I. We were just thinking it was going to be a straight goofy kids movie but it happened to be much more than that. It is actually a pretty damn funny movie and practically good from start to finish. Definitely worth watching. Nice suprise!

If you like The Pacifier you'll like this. The movie pokes gentle fun at other spy movies without becoming a parody. Dave Batista is great as JJ and the chemistry Chloe Coleman and the skilled supporting cast makes this movie work. A romantic comedy you can watch with the kids while having a bit of action for dad.
