About this movie

Young lovers Hero and Claudio are to be married in one week. To pass the time, they conspire with Don Pedro to set a "lover's trap" for Benedick, an arrogant confirmed bachelor, and Beatrice, his favorite sparring partner. Meanwhile, the evil Don Jon conspires to break up the wedding by accusing Hero of infidelity. In the end, though, it all turns out to be "much ado about nothing."

The story itself I don't like as much as I like the movie. What kind of man is this Claudio to be fooled and turn away so easily from love? Kenneth Branagh does a great job with the screenplay though.

Modernized for easy enjoyment, this Shakespeare play is expertly handled and delivered in a romantic and sexy way, while still holding true to the author's story and art. Beautifully filmed with top-notch stars, you will be hard-pressed to find a favorite. However, Michael Keaton plays a delightful comic character that will roll you with laughter. The story that centers around the young lovers will pull at your heart strings and upon the reveal, you will gasp from emotional feeling. There are many phrases that hold so true to life and love as we live today, 100s of years later after the story was written.

Beautifully done!! Branagh cut the unnecessary and redundant parts to make this play streamlined and amazing!! I watched this when I was twelve and had no problem following it! Except for one sex scene, totally family friendly as long as nudity for bathing isn't beyond you. Best version in my opinion!!
