About this movie

When Shao Kahn’s Outworld barbarians terrorize Earthrealm, Lord Raiden is determined to put an end to the carnage once and for all. This leaves one option: a final Mortal Kombat Tournament for the future of Earthrealm – win it or lose everything. Raiden’s elite team of Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Liu Kang and a few new faces kick the action into the extreme as they go head-to-head with Outworld’s most bloodthirsty warriors. The stakes could not be higher. But deep in Netherrealm, the malevolent Shinnok is unfolding an unspeakable scheme which threatens to obliterate existence as we know it. The universe is watching, and it’s winner take all!

Battle of the Realms is severely less entertaining than Scorpion's Revenge. It's really weird how this follow up retains most the same voice cast and animation style, but the story is bonkers. What really annoyed me most was how Kombatants would be shown to have bones decimated with internal cutscenes depicting it, or weapons stabbed into them, then moments later, no indication of any injuries. Why go through the detailed visual of sustaining an injury, only to wipe the slate clean next scene? Johnny Cage was so annoyingly over-the-top comic relief and the end battle was some sort of bizarre forced Godzilla / UltraMan / Dragonball-esque mess. I really enjoyed Scorpion's Revenge, so Battle of the Realms was a huge surprise fail.

Looks like it be really good if your into anime you will now be able to see fatality happen see blood an gore the only thing I could think of that could make it better is it was in real live action with enough special effects and graphics to make this look real an get the blood an gore of a fatality I haven't seen the newest one that iss real life but I hope it is as good as I think it'll be. Sorry for a long review just had to put my thoughts out there for all of you lemme know what y'all think

The animation and voice acting are all solid throughout. But this story is just trying to shove WAY too many subplots in an 80 minute movie. So a lot of heavier moment feel rushed and unearned. If you are really into MK you might get some enjoyment out of it as a rental but I can't see myself re-watching this ever.
