A powerful and engaging story. The documentary features inspiring examples of people actually living the minimalist life, and interviews with experts and professionals who have had personal experience in this matter. I sought out this documentary after hearing about it via Life Edited, so was already a convert, but I think it will prompt me into taking some action in my life. I'm looking to show this documentary now to friends and family in the hopes that they can find inspiration in improving their lives as well. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there was a lack of opposing views - it was a slick and beautifully made promotion of their (very meaningful) goals BUT is the idea of minimalism universally accepted? Did they ever have a meaningful debate with those who didn't agree with them? *I* fully embrace their views, but if the documentary had shown them standing up and persuading others less inclined it would have made it all the more convincing for those not quite converted... Nonetheless. I really enjoyed it!

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who feels the way we're taught to "live" (consume, work, repeat) might not be as fulfilling as we're led to believe. Anyone who wants to live with purpose. It's a great introduction to the philosophy of "The Minimalists" and others who follow this lifestyle - all with different stories to share.

Good concept for a documentary, but it's surprisingly light on content. There are a lot of interviews with people who have embraced minimalism, but everything is all peace, love, and jellybeans with reflective mood music throughout. It plays like an extended trailor and I kept waiting more explanation of the how and what of minimalism...not just the who and why...
