About this movie

In a visceral modern thriller from the director of Lone Survivor, Mark Wahlberg stars as James Silva, an operative of the CIA’s most highly-prized and least-understood unit. Aided by a top-secret tactical command team, Silva must retrieve and transport an asset who holds life-threatening information to Mile 22 for extraction before the enemy closes in.

(This review does contain spoilers and opinions, read at your own risk) I enjoyed watching this movie, but the movie had a lot of flaws that I noticed. The acting was pretty bad and the plot was even worse. Granted acting is pretty hard to accomplish - this was just sad. They tried to bring in Ronda Rousey for what I would assume to be more attention but that did not work out well at all. She is a wrestler, not an actor - and this was clearly shown by her acting in the movie - but as I stated before acting is pretty hard so she has a reason for her acting not being the best. The other actors were decent - but still not the best. The plot is a totally different story as it was extremely hard to follow and half the time the plot seemed a bit lost itself and I was really confused as to why they never explained that the one guy was secretly related to the Russian team that was trying to kill them. They revealed this at the end of the movie but by then it was too late to understand because even after he caused the plane to crash they still didn't say why he was related to the Russian team and it really just seemed as he, and other characters, were there to aid the plot/fill the gaps.

This movie was so absolutely horrible it's not even funny....watched it for 40 minutes and shut it off. I've always like Mark Wahlberg but this really is a low budget feeling B movie at best and if you're offended by the F word or cursing in general then steer clear...the 1st 20 minutes they say F*** at least thirty times...felt like watching the Super Troopers and the "Meow" scene lol

Odd Cloverfield-esque shaky cam style directing with rapid edits and angry man dialogue with lots of tiny peanut gallery comments. Action was very intense, short, explosive but sadly way to choppy and hyper edits. While not enough to hate, it was a really unpleasant movie to watch and the trailer is all you need to watch. Definite pass
