Midnight Cowboy

Midnight Cowboy is one of a number of classic films I had not yet got around to seeing until now. For some, this might feel dated, and I can see why. For me, it's not far out of reach of my experience... no, I was not a cowboy hustler in my youth. Well, not a cowboy in any case. Just in terms of the era in which it takes place. I can relate still. But regardless, I think the amazing performances by Dustin Hoffman and John Voight are worth seeing.

Like trying to sit through 113 minutes of the infamous dentist scene from Marathon Man

I've seen this movie many years ago and it's a classic. The storyline is complex. It never revile entirely but it's sad.
