As a fan of the original trilogy I approached this with an open mind. Firstly, I think Chris and Tessa have great on-screen chemistry but Tessa steals each scene she's in. Secondly, whilst it's generally amusing it only has a few genuine LOL moments and lacks the satirical punch of the Smith/Jones era films. One to watch with a few beers and popcorn and if you have 2 hours with nothing else to do.

Cancelled my pre-order after watching this on a plane. I refused to believe the reviews as i loved the originals, but it was just... dull! Predictable from the opening scene, none of the humour or chemistry from the original films - i love both actors but this just didn't work. Disappointing. Might buy it on deal of the week in a couple of years when it's down to about 3.99

Yes it's got a different feel from the originals, but it nowhere near as bad as some of the other reviewers have said, so the plots a little on the thin side, but it's not shakespeare or high drama is it, nor is it meant to be, it's a film that's meant to entertain you for a couple of hours, nothing more nothing less, and for the people moaning about there being a woman in the film, grow up or grow a pair, it's not the first time there's been a man and a woman as lead characters in a film
