We loved this movie. It is not a typical "baby in a manger" Christmas story, but it is definitely a story that contains the essence of the Christmas story: In the middle of despair and against all odds, a miracle changes the course of the story to bless everyone involved. Though the plot of the story might seem far-fetched, the nativity story is by far even more far-fetched than the Christmas Candle. This story exemplifies faith, love, joy and above all hope all wrapped up in the person of Christ, much like the original nativity story does. We need more of these movies that contain this message and point to that core message of Christmas.

What a relief to finally find a Christmas film that isn't a rehashed old plot, or a children's movie about Santa Claus. I was apprehensive at first, but it's a good film with strong Christian messages. Yes it's a bit over the top...but it's a Christmas movie, it's supposed to be!

It was so nice to see a Christmas movie that has the right perspective. Our culture is so much more caught up in the commercial aspects of Christmas, and this movie was a nice little reminder of what really matters.
