There are some very dark themes in this film, not just comic book/sci fi violence but deliberate genocide. I am not a regular Marvel watcher but I thought this movie didn't do it for me. The film and story are OK until the ending (no spoilers) but is neither clearly a cliffhanger or an ending. The younger viewers spent most of the movie why the baddie (Thanos) wanted to randomly wipe out half the universe. There is a scene near the beginning of the movie where civilians are simply shot down as well as more sci-fi deaths later on. The different sets of superheros seem to work well together with the usual predictable wit, and the CGI locations worked well. An OK watch for me, not suitable for kids I would say, and a bit of a startling conclusion that seriously left me confused, and yet another set of hard conversations with the kids. Message to Marvel - your comic book hero's are not only read about by 40 year old nerds with 50 years of comics filed in their garage. The next generation still need to learn about these characters without some of the over-engineered and rather overtly adult ways of squeezing out one more cliffhanger.

Probably the best Marvel movie. The amount of characters they had to juggle here was an almost impossible task. Some of the ways they treated some of the characters I was happy with but Vision was just a rag doll in this movie. I think they forgot that Vision is an actual bad ass but there ya' go. Iron man is awesome as usual, Thor's level of power is a bit allover the place and Captain America was cool when on screen. I would say this looses marks due to the fact it didn't give enough scenes to breath. Still an excellent watch.

In my opinion not even close to a classic film, full of plot exploitable next film pending stuff. It also requires you to be connected to many of the characters and their story arcs. I rate films on...I have to have in my collection, I will watch again, if on TV wil watch, could of been worse or to fall asleep or walk out off cinema. There was a few times I thought to myself , oh dear , this really is Hollywood hype train stuff. Now I have seen it I don't need to see again.
