These positive reviews are paid for by Disney. This movie is just terrible. Captain Marvel? Come on. This is an insult to actual comic fans. This is a thrice rebooted character from the 1970s that nobody cares about, had only limited runs that failed in print, and has been resurrected because they're out of ideas after Endgame. The attempts at humor fall flat and are phoned in, the lead's whole performance is cardboard, and the CGI is unforgivably shoddy looking. I was not amused walking out of this movie, they obviously think we'll just eat whatever they can slap a Marvel logo on. Absolutely unforgivable but not surprising from Disney.

Saw this yesterday and it is soooo bad. Brie is absolutely terrible in this role, maybe just a terrible actress and awards mean nothing apparently. Her "powers" are just stupid in every regard. Story is just lazy and disconnected bc of the next point. Ridiculous political messages forced down our throats. Let me just enjoy and freakin movie. Quit trying to social engineer. I want my money back and an apology. I am a huge MCU fan, but I might be done if this is their new direction. Give me a great story and a great character.

I'd give it a 1 star cause bre Larsen just .... no. But everyone else did great and it was an interesting script. Really wish MCU would realise what a toxic person Larsen is and redo he character in a few years but I know with investments they probably cant stop the train now. So hopefully they just pull her out of the light and make it disappear. And bring out kamalcan ms. Marvel instead.
