About this movie

Director/screenwriter Francis Ford Coppola brings his definitive edit and restoration of the final film in his epic Godfather trilogy—Mario Puzo’s The Godfather, Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone. Michael Corleone (Al Pacino), now in his 60s, seeks to free his family from crime and find a suitable successor to his empire. That successor could be fiery Vincent (Andy Garcia)... but he may also be the spark that turns Michael's hope of business legitimacy into an inferno of mob violence. The film’s meticulously restored picture and sound, under the supervision of American Zoetrope and Paramount Pictures, includes a new beginning and ending, as well as changes to scenes, shots, and music cues. The resulting project reflects author Mario Puzo and Coppola’s original intentions of The Godfather: Part III, and delivers, in the words of Coppola, “a more appropriate conclusion to The Godfather and The Godfather: Part II.”

About to watch this new edit. but many seem to be confused. Michael dies in the original edit of Godfather III. At the end of the original Godfather III he sits alone and dies, slumps over and falls out the chair. Many for some reason think in the 1990 original cut Michael did not die. Only difference here is..... well I will not say what the differences between the 2 endings are... I just felt i had to clarify this. Michael did die at the end of the original edit from 1990 version of The Godfather III. I am giving it 5 stars cause i am a huge Godfather fan. I loved the original release of Godfather III so i am sure i would love this one also.

I'm giving it a 5 star rating already because I've watched all 3 movies faithfully and could not get over the ending of the 3rd installment I felt like he should have reigned down horror and destruction against everyone who had something to do with his daughters death
