Rumi, a hot-headed Punjabi girl from Amritsar, is pressured by her family to get married but she is in love with her commitment-phobic boyfriend Vicky. After being stood up on multiple occasions by Vicky, Rumi decides to marry the man her family chooses for her – Robbie, an investment banker.
