Dan Perry
A sad, slow-moving drama punctuated with sardonic humour that works due in large part to Casey Affleck's subtle yet powerful performance. The pace of the film is its biggest drawback, which has the potential to deter audience members. Having said that, patience is rewarded as the story unfolds to reveal interesting--and broken--characters. Perhaps this is more of an auteur's mistake. Kenneth Lonergan's writing and direction has yielded an effective drama that takes a little too long to get going and a little too long to get there. All the same, it's worth watching if only Michelle Williams' handful of compelling scenes.
Hamza Bajwa (Hammy)
An amazing movie about moving on and forgiveness. Funny, witty, emotional on all the right spots, Manchester by the Sea is a great character study about a man who's unhappy and unable to move on from his past, now has to deal with taking care of his nephew after his father passes.

There's something to say about what this movie does. It gives perspective to a type of person that usually is never given a second look. What this film goes for, is a genuinely emotional tale that is handled with extremely human emotions behaviour.
