I am not one to write an impressive review as some, but to those who thoroughly enjoyed this movie I don't think you have experienced a real kung fu movie; I will admit however that some of the fighting scenes were intense and enjoyable. I give it a C - for lack of character interaction, depth, and choreographed fight scenes.

For an action, fight movie, it's entertaining enough. By now, martial art movie-goers are sophisticated enough that the explanatory dialogue could have been eliminated. There were moments of calmer and better photography that could have been expanded to take place of dialogue. Not everything has to be said.

This is —barring the absolute triumphs that were Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist and Street Fighter 2 (Japanese anime un-butchered version)— what all those other Street Fighter movie attempts should have been! All the others owe us a life.
