About this movie

Angelino and his skull-and-flame pal Vinz live in a seedy tenement in a burnt-out, gang-and cockroach-ridden dystopian metropolis. Following a scooter accident, Angelino starts experiencing migraines and strange hallucinations, as well as fits of rage-inspired superpowers, as he slowly awakens to the truth of his origins: he is half-human and half-Macho, a supernatural alien race that is bent on taking over the planet. Based on the comic series by Guillaume "Run" Renard and stunningly animated by ultra-hip Studio 4°C, MFKZ is a wild, action-packed mashup of anime, sci-fi and hip-hop influences, featuring the voices of Michael Chiklis, Giancarlo Esposito, Dascha Polanco, RZA, Vince Staples and Danny Trejo.

This movie is pandering to black and Latino audiences showing LA in an animated setting with a bland twist half way through, the main antagonist is a white rich guy that is defeated by black and Mexican "heroes" as the black character chases after a mysterious Japanese girl. Don't waste your money I fell asleep half way through, even rewatching it made me question the overly dumb story that has been used in better movies such as Promare made by studio trigger which is a must watch for anime fans

I watched this a few weeks ago, and I gotta say that this was the best movie I have ever seen. The story is unpredictable, a little confusing, but still great. The characters are also really enjoyable, especially the two main characters who are absolutely adorable together. The animation is just gorgeous! I can see where the animators took a lot of time working on this. This is one of my top recommendations for you to see!

READ THE COMICS BEFORE YOU WATCH THE MOVIE! This movie is enjoyable but does NOT do justice do the comic series it began as. I highly suggest that one reads the series before making any serious judgement about MFKZ as a whole!
