The fact that I prefer Marvel and action movies yet am giving this 5 stars should tell you something: It's genuinely sweet, funny and moving and so freaking well made! I wouldn't be surprised if this movie has actually SAVED LIVES and has given people hope, it's *that good! I am TOTALLY buying it! Read the book first, it was ok and yes there are minor changes but it captures the spirit of the book and goes beyond. Some movies can do that. Dig the 90s vibe I got from it. The soundtrack is excellent and masterfully employed - never overpowering or used as a crutch. The characters are loveable and believable - even the teachers! Compelling viewing that rattles along at the perfect pace. Everyone who worked on this on either side of the camera give yourselves a round of applause - you genuinely outdid yourselves! This is a freaking SUCCESS! May everyone watch it and buy it and LOVE it! And to all of us who feel different, hold onto that hope Xx

As a 48 year old gay man I was doubtful I would be able to relate to the themes of this film. All I will say is I loved it. So refreshing to see a modern coming out story that didn't end in absolute heartbreak or death. Not since Beautiful Thing have I laughed, cried and rejoiced in a film.

I couldn't stop to laugh, it was hard even to stop cry. Love, Simon movie,
was boring on start. It was getting more difficult while people get to know
about his sexuality. I was sad. I couldn't imagine, I couldn't really count
values of life here. Too many. Great movie about friendship, family and
unreal relationships...
