This movie is quite funny and I enjoyed many of the actors including Hugh Grant. I was not happy with how two of the couples were left unresolved. One made her psycho, institutionalized brother more important than the guy who was obviously on love with her. She could still care for her brother and give the other guy some love too! The other is a lady & her hubby who she sees about to have an affair. At the end they are not back in love but disgruntled and out of sorts!

Our family only had to watch this once to add it to our yearly routine. Saw it back in theatres years ago, have watched it every year for Christmas ever since. It has some amazing love stories and some that are not amazing, but that is reality. Some romances work out, others are less fortunate.

Now THIS is my favorite movie of all time, and I don't know why. There's nothing stellar or poignant about it. But for some reason I can watch it time and time again and still laugh and cry. I think it's because I love love and romance, and I love good cry every once in awhile. The acting in it is pretty basic, but the actors give great performances... especially Hugh Grant, and that says a lot cause I've never really been a fan of his. It's just a great movie with a great ensemble cast. You'll love it.
