"Lost in Space" is one of the most wretched sci-fi films in recent history. The casting of Matt LeBlanc as the swaggering pilot protagonist was a huge mistake. LeBlanc shows no range or depth and appears to be acting as if he is in an infomercial. The special effects are campy, which is probably the best feature of the film. Forced dialogue, insincere emotions and painful character interactions doom the film from any connection with the audience. While suspension of disbelief is expected in the genre, the film's most important (and creepy) battle is spoiled by a split-second of thought by the viewer. (I won't spoil the movie with the question, but it will be self-evident to any viewer). Avoid this disaster of a deep-space flick.

I've always loved the action and nostalgic feel to this movie. I thought that Matt LeBlanc was perfectly cast in this film, his display of heroics and swagger is quite memorable imo. Heather Graham and Lacey Chabert provide a good dose of pretty and cute to the film. The Robot and Wil Robinson are a thrill, blasting away alien spiders together. And Gary Oldman, fresh off a string of 90s hits, is great as the evil Dr. Smith, who turns into a scary spider at the end of the film DANGER! DANGER!đź‘Ť

I swear, this is the best movie ever! I literally grew up with this movie. I used to watch it all the time when I was little. I just recently watched it on a blueray player (I've had this movie for a REALLY long time), and it was fantastic. Granted it was cheesey and the special effects weren't of the 21st century; but all in all, I love this movie! The story line and plot may not make sense at times, but it is a sweet story.
