About this movie

In the conclusion of J.R.R. Tolkien's epic masterpiece, The Lord of the Rings, as armies mass for a final battle that will decide the fate of the world, one member of the Fellowship of the Ring is revealed as the noble heir to the throne of the Kings of Men. Yet, the sole hope for triumph over evil lies with a brave hobbit, Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood - "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"), who, accompanied only by his loyal friend Sam and the hideous, wretched Gollum, ventures deep into the very dark heart of Mordor on his seemingly impossible quest to destroy the Ring of Power. Also starring Academy Award-nominee Viggo Mortensen ("A History of Violence"), Academy Award-nominee and Golden Globe-winner Ian McKellan ("X-Men"), Orlando Bloom ("The Pirates of the Caribbean" trilogy), Liv Tyler ("The Strangers") and Academy Award and Golden Globe-winner Cate Blanchett ("Elizabeth"). Winner of 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director! MPAA Rating: PG-13 2003 New Line Home Entertainment, INC. All rights reserved.

This movie is great but Google play ruined it I wanted to buy the movie just incase if I go on a trip I could watch the whole trilogy. The first lord of the rings isn't even on Google play the second is the only one that has all of the things I like it's on Google play and you can buy it I don't like renting movies because if I buy it I have it forever the third movie sucks because its only rentable and that makes me really angry. I hate to have to give this movie 1 star because its pretty good

After the first two epic films this fails to deliver, worth a look for the battle sequences but little else.

Such a fantastic movie. This movie will go down in history for being one of the best ends of a franchise ever seen in the history of cinema
