About this movie

The sequel to the worldwide smash hit “Olympus Has Fallen,” a non-stop, suspenseful action thriller that delivers high-octane excitement through a heightened sense of authenticity. The visceral intensity springs from a timely premise: after the British Prime Minister passes away, his funeral becomes a target of a terrorist organization to destroy some of the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. The only hope of stopping it rests on the shoulders of the President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart) and his formidable Secret Service head (Gerard Butler), and an English MI-6 agent (Charlotte Riley) who rightly trusts no one. Morgan Freeman also stars as the Vice President of the United States. (Original Title - London Has Fallen) - 2016 Focus Features. All Rights Reserved.

I am astounded this movie is at 4.1 stars. I can usually sit through pretty much anything as long as I can find something redeeming about it. I didn't make it through this one. Bad acting, bad script and the most ridiculous and absurdly improbable story you can imagine. The only thing that wasn't bad were the special effects, they were merely mediocre. Don't waste a penny on this dreadful movie.

Haven't seen the movie yet. Most likely will just because Gerard Butler's in it. Don't care if he just stands there & doesn't do a thing. I understand that sounds sexist, I don't care. I'm old enough to remember when it was okay to compliment someone without being called sexist. I doubt Gerard Butler buffs up like that just because it's fun. Thinking he's pretty aware he's a hunk. If the movie is as entertaining as the reviews, I'll be happy.

Another take on the Mission Impossible genre that is again, greatly admirable and successful. Keen espionage tactical elements only Hollywood could venture. Though reality stings at the reality of what films produce in actuality "real life terrorism and bombings" world-wide. Which are tragic losses of lives each and everyday without mediation or interventions. Outstanding cast nonetheless heads this fast-paced thriller. Though at points -- sometimes a bit farcical to imagine dodging the bullets.
