About this movie

Live Free or Die Hard gets real -- with real action, real humor, and the reprise of a beloved and iconic character: John McClane (Bruce Willis). On the Fourth of July weekend, an attack on the vulnerable United States infrastructure begins to shut down the entire nation. The mysterious figure behind the scheme has figured out every modern angle... but he never figured on John McClane -- the old-school "analog" fly in the "digital" ointment.

"Live Free or Die Hard" is a mostly tolerable movie. The premise is interesting and reasonable. But, just about every activity implementing that premise is ridiculous (not just the tech stuff -- even the action stuff). But, heck. It's a movie about things going boom, people getting the snot beat out of them, and others being killed. And it's SUPPOSED to be that kind of movie. So, I'm rating it at an OK 3 stars out of 5.

Olyphant and Maggie Q good villians, but horribly miscast McClane's daughter. Neutered itself by being PG, since fsr limits realistic language but not violence.

definitely my fav of the series but they screwed up his best lines. like instead of "this is a bad idea" they sound cut in "this is not a good idea". but still great character relations plot and bad guys. it was hard to top 3 with sam L but even with bad one liners this was still a great flick.
